Md. Tahmidul Islam Tanvir is a highly experienced Structural Engineer and the Founder & CEO of Ascent Design & Development, with nearly two decades of professional practice in structural design, consultancy, and construction supervision. A graduate of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), he has built a distinguished career delivering complex engineering solutions across residential, commercial, institutional, industrial, and infrastructure projects in Bangladesh and abroad.

His expertise spans high-rise buildings, deep basements, long-span steel structures, seismic-resistant design, industrial facilities, and large-scale master planning projects. Throughout his career, he has played key roles in nationally significant developments, including projects for Bangladesh Bank, DTCA, Chittagong WASA, Roads & Highways Department, and major private developers. Internationally, he has led structural design for large industrial complexes in Ethiopia, integrating steel and reinforced concrete systems on challenging hilly terrains.

Known for his collaborative approach, Mr. Tanvir works closely with architects, geotechnical engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are safe, economical, and aligned with architectural intent. His work consistently follows international and local codes, including BNBC and ACI, reflecting a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and structural excellence.
