Engr. Md. Shamsul Alam is a highly accomplished civil and structural engineer with over 36 years of professional experience in Bangladesh and Malaysia. He holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and an MBA from the University of Dhaka. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh, and has been registered as a Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.

Currently serving as Principal Structural Engineer at The Designers & Managers since 2002, he has led and reviewed the structural design of numerous landmark projects, including high-rise universities, hospitals, hotels, industrial plants, power plants, factories, and commercial buildings. His portfolio includes prestigious developments such as BRAC University, Ahsanullah University, Courtyard Marriott Hotel, Liberation War Museum, National Stadium projects, and major industrial facilities across Bangladesh.

Previously, he held senior technical and director-level positions in leading organizations, including Ranhill Bersekutu Sdn. Bhd. in Malaysia, where he worked on complex geotechnical and structural designs for iconic projects like the 74-storey Telekom Tower and underground LRT systems. His expertise spans structural and foundation design, geotechnical assessment, project management, and advanced computer-based engineering analysis.
