Trikon Architects participated in the NOMAD Competition Award Ceremony, held on 13 March 2024 at the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB), marking an important moment of recognition within the country’s architectural community. The ceremony brought together architects, academics, and professionals to celebrate design research addressing complex social and environmental contexts.
The NOMAD Competition focused on architectural responses for water-based and transient communities, encouraging participants to explore context-sensitive, sustainable, and socially responsive design strategies. The awarded project presented by the team was acknowledged for its thoughtful engagement with community needs, material intelligence, and spatial adaptability—demonstrating how architecture can operate as a tool for inclusion and resilience rather than mere form-making.
The award ceremony at IAB served as a platform for dialogue on the expanding role of architects in addressing marginalized living conditions through research-driven design. This recognition reflects Trikon Architects’ continued commitment to architecture that engages with real-world challenges, emphasizing social responsibility, contextual understanding, and long-term impact within the built environment.
